Privacy policy

Combo's Tweaks doesn't sell, rent or share your data, and has no accounts, ads or telemetry. This page says exactly what goes where.

In the app

Combo's Tweaks only reads and changes the settings each tweak needs. It never reads or uploads your personal files, has no telemetry, and makes no hidden network calls. It only uses the network for what you start: the ping, DNS speed and bufferbloat tests, the DNS check after you change DNS, Network Repair, official downloads on Resources, and Ask Combo AI (every plan), which sends your question (and, if you allow it, a short summary of this PC's hardware, no names or addresses) with your licence key, or in Free a random install ID this app made, to Combo's Tweaks' AI server only when you press Send. The server doesn't keep or log questions; it counts free questions per internet connection by a salted hash of the IP address, never the address itself. Licence keys are checked offline. Backups and logs stay on this PC in the Combo's Tweaks folder under ProgramData.

This is the app's own Settings › Privacy text.

Ask Combo AI

Every plan includes Ask Combo AI, which answers questions about your PC's performance: 1 question a day in Free, 3 in Plus and 6 in Premium. Nothing is sent until you agree to the screen that shows what a question sends: the question and the earlier messages of the same conversation; if you allow it, a short summary of your PC's hardware (Windows version, processor, graphics card, memory, how it connects to the internet; no names, files or addresses); the app's version; and, so the server can count your questions, your licence key (Plus and Premium; it holds a licence number, not your email) or, in Free, a random install ID the app makes (nothing about you or your PC). It goes to Combo's Tweaks' own server, which answers with Cloudflare Workers AI (Built with Llama) and keeps no record of questions. Like any website, the server sees the internet address a question comes from: it counts free questions per address by a salted hash of it, never the address itself, and deletes the counts after two days. Answers come from an AI model and can be wrong: they are suggestions, not instructions. Check a tweak's details before you turn it on, and keep a restore point. The app never changes anything because of an answer. Free questions have their own daily share, so Plus and Premium are still answered when it runs out; any plan's questions can stop early for the day if the service's free daily allowance runs out, and the service may change or stop.

Licence keys

Licence keys are checked on your PC, offline. A key holds a licence number, its plan and dates and a one-way hash of the email you bought it with, never the email itself. Ask Combo AI sends your key with a question only so the server can count your questions.

Buying a licence

Plus and Premium are sold through Link, by Stripe: the Buy buttons open its checkout, it takes your payment and sends your receipt, and we never see your full card number. We get your email address and order details from Stripe to make your licence key and help you. See Stripe's privacy policy.

After paying you come back to this site, which shows your licence key. For each order our licence server keeps the licence ID, the plan and the key, a short one-way hash of the email you paid with (what the key is bound to) and a masked copy of it (like b***@example.com), Stripe's payment and link IDs, and the dates. No names, card details or addresses. They're kept so we can show your key again, handle refunds and check upgrades; ask us and we delete them (the licence ID stays, for refunds and tax records).

This website

These pages are files on Cloudflare: no cookies, no scripts, no analytics or trackers, and nothing loaded from other sites. Only the pages that show your key and check a Plus key for an upgrade run code on Cloudflare's servers; they count each IP address's visits for a minute, against abuse, and keep nothing else. Cloudflare delivers the pages and may keep the usual server logs (such as IP addresses) for security: see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
